Privacy Policy

Aurorama (aurorama.app) shows your chance of seeing the aurora at any destination. It is run by PT. Nera Teknologi Utama, part of NERA (“we”). This page explains what data is processed, why, and the choices you have.
Summary
- There are no accounts. We never ask for your name, email or location.
- The destinations you add are saved in your own browser, not on our servers.
- Google Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner.
- We show no ads and never sell data.
What stays in your browser
Aurorama uses your browser’s local storage to remember:
- destinations you add (place name, country and coordinates);
- the destination you selected last;
- your cookie choice.
This is never sent to us. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it.
Requests to forecast providers
To build the forecast, your browser fetches data directly from public services. Like any website, they see your IP address and the request:
- Open-Meteo: weather forecasts for the coordinates of your destinations, and the text you type when searching for a place.
- NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center: aurora, Kp and solar-wind data. No personal data is involved.
Their own privacy policies apply to these requests.
Google Analytics
If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records how the site is used: pages viewed, approximate location (city or country), device and browser type, and the site that referred you. We use it only for visit statistics and to improve Aurorama.
If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. Under Google’s Consent Mode, Google may still receive basic signals without cookies or identifiers stored on your device (for example, that a page was loaded), which it uses only in aggregate.
You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of the app. Declining also removes Google Analytics cookies set earlier.

There are no advertising cookies.
Hosting
Aurorama is served by Firebase Hosting on Google Cloud. Like most websites, it keeps standard technical logs (IP address, time and page requested) to keep the service secure and fix problems. Google deletes these logs automatically.
Your rights
Under Indonesia’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 27 of 2022) and, if you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, under the GDPR, you can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your personal data, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Since we hold no account data, most of this is in your hands: clear your browser’s site data and change your cookie choice in the app. For anything else, email hello@nera.id.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
